Ezra Goldberg

he/him, they/them

Hi there!

I’m Ezra, 25-year old Data Scientist/AI Solutions Engineer, currently working at IMC Business Architecture & Scaled Insights. As it’s a small company, my role also encompasses many other fields, including QA, Development, UX Design, and Admin work. While the data projects are my main focus, I often flex into different responsibilities to support my colleagues.

Before this, I’ve worked as a Project Manager, and have done internships as a Developer and as a QA Tester, so I’ve got a solid grasp on the software engineering lifecycle.

I studied Computer Engineering at Queen’s University, in the AI Stream. While managing a full course load, I took on internships, worked part time jobs as a Project Manager, TA, and Barista, and ran clubs and was involved in extra-curriculars.

Commitment to EDII

Outside of work

As a Queer Jewish non-binary person, I’m aware of ways that closed-minded design can limit access, so I strive to make my work as inclusive as possible. I have a long history of volunteering for Queer organizations, like running Queen’s EngiQueers, and working for 3 years at Machane Lev, Canada’s first camp for Queer Jewish kids.

At work

Throughout my data science projects, I’ve always been proudest of the work that prioritizes equitable treatment of all. This includes my work with BiasProof, where I designed software that recommends EDII consultants to companies based on their biases. Recently, I’ve been brought on to architect an AI chatbot that will be distributing PrEP, STI test kits, and contraceptives. I’m very proud that my work will assist in spreading access to healthcare, and reducing the stigma of HIV/AIDS.
